AASN-O - Nursing, Associate of Applied Science (AASN) LPN to RN Option

Advanced standing (for prior nursing courses or transfer credit) for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in nursing in available. To be eligible, an applicant must: 1) meet the admissions requirements for the College, 2) meet the admissions requirements for the AASN program, 3) present a valid, unencumbered PN license, 4) compete all pre-requisite courses, and 5) successfully complete the approved NUR 150 LPN to AASN Transition Course (both theory and laboratory) or a transition course from an approved Ohio Articulation Model. After successful completion of this course, 9 credit hours will be awarded for NUR 101 and NUR 102. The student will be able to enter NUR 201 on a space-available basis.
